2 cups white flour
2 cups grated tasty cheese
2 heaped tsp Baking powder
1/2 cup cream or 50gm melted butter
about 3/4 cup milk
Preheat the oven - Very hot
Grease and flour an oven tray.
Mix flour, baking powder, and cheese together in a large bowl.
Stir in the cream and milk until you have a very soft wet dough.
Pat dough with floured hands until it’s about 2 - 3 cm thick.
Cut into squares with a floured knife, or press out round shapes with a floured cutter.
Bake near the top in a very hot oven for 6 minutes.
Take the scones off the tray while they are hot and put them into a tea towel.
Serve warm or very fresh with butter, jam and a little whipped cream on the top of each one, or just with butter.
